I'm home now, still sick, but getting better. I drove home Jan 4th. The trip wasn't bad. My biggest fear was sneezing at 75 miles an hour. I don't know if you know this, but when you sneeze behind the wheel, your eyes are shut for at least 9 feet. A lot can happen in 9 feet. I was having trouble turning my head to the left which made backing out of parking spaces tricky. And for some reason, I found myself having to stop every hour.
Traffic through Chicago was lighter than I expected for a week day evening. Just for fun, I used the GPS to see what route it would give me through Chicago. It picked I-90 through the Gary-Hammond corridor. I preferred I-80/94. The new toll rates were a killer.
