Greetings.

It's another Monday in Wisconsin - cloudy, a few snow flurries, cold. The last leaf pickup of the season was done last week.

Things I've been working on - I completed two hats and a cotton bib for the charity knitting group. I'm working on a pair of socks for AJ. I'll be making a gift for my son-in-law.

Since my last post, a former co-worker has died. She was only 38. The cause of death in the paper was listed as illness. Rumor says brain damage. Whatever the cause, she was young. She left behind parents, a husband, and step-children.

Another person I know suffered a stroke and is in intensive care. He's a couple of years older than me. And a friend had a heart attack this past summer while at reunion.

So I need to get off my fat butt and exercise more, and eat better, or the next thing you know, I'll be a vital statistic.

By the way, you'd be proud of me - I haven't played Angry Birds since Wednesday.
