Another day in the life

Saturday, I got my written estimate for the well. I'm thinking about just going ahead with it- half from  the city and the rest out of pocket. It will make things a little tough for the end of the year and Christmas. On the other hand, if I wait for the DNR grant, I might get 75% paid. That would take care of any surprises. If I can get an extension form the city, I might not have any out-of-pocket expenses.

Did I mention my washer died? Quite noisily too. A bearing blew and rather than fix it, my son and I dragged it out to the curb and we moved in the one from the garage that I always meant to sell. I have to purchase a $35 sticker so the city will pick up the washer, but at least I don't have to haul it to the recycle place myself.
